Dr. Hanks completed an additional two years of training (beyond the 8 years of school required to become a dentist) at a Children’s Hospital where he became certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, a hospital-certified Spanish interpreter, and a specialist in children’s dentistry.
Dr. Hanks follows the AAPD guideline to establish a dental home for children at first tooth or first birthday, whichever comes first.
Dr. Hanks started as a pediatric dental assistant in 2010 and has been training to become or working as a licensed dentist ever since.
Dr. Hanks has put thought into every detail of his practice to ensure every child starts their dental journey on the right foot! Dr. Hanks works closely with parents to make every visit comfortable for each child.
Dr. Hanks earned both a Doctorate in Medical Dentistry and a Master’s in Public health during his four years of dental school. Dr. Hanks earned an MPH to be able to understand and effectively treat the mouth behind the tooth, the child behind the mouth, the family behind the child and the community behind the family.
